Menopause and HRT

The menopause usually occurs between 45 and 55 years of age, as a woman’s oestrogen levels decline. In the UK, the average age for a woman to reach the menopause is 51. But, did you know, around 1 in 100 women experience the menopause before 40 years of age?

Whilst people think of menopause symptoms being sweats and flushes, there are many different symptoms associated with menopause, and all have the ability to impact on your life, at home, and at work.

Importantly, there is something we can do to help and in this week’s podcast, Dr Hamp and Dr McGinley cover the important facts about menopause as well as how to help with the symptoms, what HRT is and the important things you need to know about taking it.
